The foundation worn under your clothes consist of a simple slip (half is fine because whole slips are hard to find and some may mistake it for a dress....again fodder for another post), the proper bra size and for those ladies that recognize this name SPANX, if you know what this is then chances are you need one. All of these items are garments that should be part of EVERY woman's wardrobe whether you are a size 2 or 22, looking professional starts with what's under your clothes. Why you ask must you layer even in the 'good ole Summertime' because:
1- A slip prevents static cling, it gives a nice panel for your see-through clothing, and it allows a dress or skirt to fall properly on the body.
2- The proper bra size keeps the ladies inside during the interview, holds then up and in place and prevents "poke" thru.
3- SPANX - These amazing garments took the place of the dreaded girdle. (A pre-millennium garment worn to slim trim and suffocate.) They are far more comfortable once on and properly sized then their predecessor and they provide targeted control so you made not need an entire SPANX body suit to smooth and hold down those wayward gluteus maximus that are sexy after five but need a little taming before.
When applicants enter the HR Office and the first thing I notice is the color of their underwear, or I am focusing on the movement of their hips and they themselves aren't moving then it is down hill from there. Perspective job candidates I strongly recommend you put as much effort into presenting a professional, classy, outer appearance that begins just one layer underneath, as you do with your resume; because you want a strong FOUNDATION when applying for that job of a lifetime!
